Step one

It’s an immediate step you have to take just after the vomit is on the couch. Take a paper towel and blot the area immediately and try to remove as much as solidly possible.

Step two

Take a spray bottle, fill one-third of it with white vinegar and rest with warm water. Stir well and spray this solution directly on the leather upholstery. Wait for five minutes and blot again with a dry cloth or paper towel.

Step three

We will use baking soda in this step. Take some baking soda in your hand and sprinkle over the affected area. Leave it for 45-60 minutes to absorb the vomit.

Step four

Now take another spray bottle and fill it with one part vinegar, three parts warm water, a few drops of dish liquid or essential oil or olive oil. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and blot the area with an abrasive-free sponge. Repeat applying the solution until the vomit stain or odor is gone.

Step five

After the cleaning is done, take a cold water-dipped sponge and wipe away the couch upholstery. Let it air dry, but make sure there is no water saturated in the couch; but if water is there, use a steam cleaner to remove excess water and then allow air to dry.
